Veronica Valli & I (14) discuss Step 10

Step 10 reads:

Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrongΒ  promptly admitted it.

So this discussion takes a look at what Step 10 means and as a practical step how you can apply it to our life.

This is all about the importance of emotional sobriety.Β  I assumed when I stopped drinking that once you stopped it was ‘problem solved’ but as I soon realised this was just the start of the process!!Β  Recovery is about two things – physical sobriety, as in we don’t drink alcohol, and emotional sobriety which is addressing why we drank in the first place.

  1. hmm…. what I want to know, Lou, is that presumably you were filming this back in the winter, since you were talking about the snow…. and what I’m wondering is how you knew then that this was EXACTLY what I needed to hear TODAY?!

other people not so much renting space in my head, recently, as moving in lock stock and barrel and starting to build schools, hospitals and seats of local government…..

thanks for a great and thought provoking video! xx

    1. I keep telling you Prim – I’m psychic! πŸ˜‰ It was filmed earlier this year seeing as Veronica’s currently a bit busy with a new baby and also has a move to contend with. Sounds like you need to organise an eviction πŸ™‚ xx

  2. Great discussion πŸ™‚ I love the terms “renting space in my head” and “weeds in my mind” xx

  3. I was wondering about the fur you were wearing!

I am learning and growing in my emotional sobriety.
    And it needs daily work!

    1. I’m learning and growing in my emotional sobriety too Wendy. It’s the hard but really rewarding part! πŸ™‚ xx
